An Emissions Repower offered by HOLT CAT and Cat Emissions Solutions will reduce exhaust emissions from existing Cat machines by replacing an in-use engine with a new or Cat Reman engine that achieves lower emissions levels, providing the benefits of emission reduction technologies not available in the past. Where appropriate, repower engines include ACERT Technology that not only lowers emissions to compliant levels, but also enhances overall engine performance.
Emissions Upgrades: A Cat Emissions Upgrade uses new Cat parts and components to upgrade your existing engine and reduce emissions. Upgrades include a turbocharger, fuel pump/governor, nozzles, cylinder packs, jacket water aftercooler (as required), and installation parts.
Caterpillar® Non-road Diesel Particulate Filters
Caterpillar Non-road Diesel Particulate Filters are California ARB verified as a Level 3+ (>85% PM reduction) technology. California ARB verification is recognized where EPA-verified technologies are required. DPF performance:
- PM (diesel particulate matter) reduction: > 85% (verified)
- CO (carbon monoxide) reduction: 90% (estimated)
- HC (hydrocarbon) reduction: 80% (estimated)
- NOx (oxides of nitrogen) reduction: none (meets CARB 20% NO2 slip requirement)
- Noise attenuation: comparable to original muffler
- Method of regeneration: passive, provided exhaust temperature profile is adequate
